With 2015 now behind us, the 2016 US Presidential elections will be one of the dominant mainstream news items throughout this year.
Despite his bigoted and sensationalist approach, media moguls are falling over themselves to avoid being wrong-footed by billionaire Trump's supposed popularity. Amidst speculation that the Trump inspired Muslim Ban is covertly being enforced and reports of the UK government mulling a UK ban on Trump, it is hardly surprising that Forbes is probing its readers with "Will 2016 be the year of Donald Trump?".
On the flip-side, is Trump the necessary red-herring antagonist who, despite making family-friend Jeb Bush appear as a plausible candidate, helps orchestrate an outcome that results in the first female US President?
